Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar was an American and British sitar artist. She was among the youngest and the first woman to be awarded the British House of Commons Shield she's had 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian origin to play live and to act as a host at the ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is among the rising stars of India's sitar. She is Ravi Shankar's student, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982. She was a young girl who travelled from London as well as New Delhi. As a teenager the first time she performed at New Delhi took place. In 1999, she completed her high schooling at Encinitas CA.
