Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and also the application of child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous papers and grants to her name she is also the winner of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has provided advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
